Feeny Warrant

On February 8, 2022, members of the Crime Suppression Section obtained a Feeny Warrant for a 44-year-old male who was the subject of 10 outstanding arrest warrants.  The charges included Frauds, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Firearm related charges, B&Es, Flight from Peace Officer and numerous breaches.  Investigation revealed the male was hiding in a Brandon residence. 

Police executed the warrant shortly after 4:00 pm, located and arrested the male who was hiding behind a false wall in the residence.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be appear in in court today.

 

Theft Under $5000

On February 8, 2022, police responded to a report of a theft of a TV from a business in the 1600 block of 18th street at approximately 5:00 pm.  Employees observed the male get into a taxi, and relayed the information to police.  Police stopped the taxi in the 1200 block of 26th street.  The 38-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on May 2, 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On February 8, 2022 at approximately 5:00 am, police responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of 10th street.  The male seemed to be hallucinating due to drug use as he was yelling at people who weren’t there.  Following his arrest, police found he was in possession of cocaine, and two knives.  The 29-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on charges of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, and Possession of a Weapon X 2.

 

Possess Meth

On February 8, 2022 shortly after 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male behaving suspiciously in the common area of an apartment building.  Police located the male, who had just consumed illicit drugs, and was found to still be in possession of a small amount of Meth.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on April 14 on a charge of Possession of Meth.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On February 8, 2022 shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of two females loitering in the common area of an apartment building.  When a tenant escorted them out as the females did not reside there, they sprayed bear mace in the area.

Police located and arrested the two suspects.  The 43-year-old female suspect was still in possession of the bear mace.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Possess Weapon Dangerous.  The second individual, a 35-year-old female was to abide by conditions not to be in contact with the other female.  She too was lodged at Brando Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Probation and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On February 9, 2022, shortly before 2:00 am, police came across a male staggering in the middle of the 300 block of 12th street.  The 41-year-old male was intoxicated and out past his curfew contrary to court conditions.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will be released once sober to appear in court on April 14, 2022 on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On February 8, 2022 at approximately 9:30 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 10th street.  The driver was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the passenger.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 25, 2022, police responded to a report of a male stealing merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  Employees observed the male conceal the items prior to exiting the store.

On February 8, 2022, police located and arrested the 41-year-old male.  He was later released to appear in court on May 2, 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Assault 

On February 8, 2022 at approximately 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence.  Investigation revealed an ongoing issue between the two individuals involved in the dispute, and prior assaults committed by each of them.  Police arrested both the 37-year-old female and the 37-year-old male for assault.  They were each later released to appear in court on May 9, 2022 on charges of Assault.

 

Assault

On February 9, 2022, police located and arrested a 40-year-old female following an investigation into a historical assault, which occurred in January 2021 on a then 9-year-old child.  The female was later released to appear in court on May 2, 2022 on a charge of Assault.
