Break and Enters – Suspect Arrested

On November 8, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed, which occurred at approximately 1:30 am in the 600 block of 11th street.  The suspect fled the property, and police searched the neighborhood.

On November 8, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 800 block of 6th street shortly before 3:00 am.  The suspect was still in the shed when the homeowner alerted police, but he fled prior to their arrival.

Police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away.  He was in possession of break-in instruments, contrary to a court order.  Investigation revealed that he was also the same responsible individual for the break and enter reported earlier in the night, as well as one reported on November 5, 2021 in the 700 block of 11th street. 

The 34-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter with intent X2, Possess Break-In Instruments, Possess Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Robbery

On November 7, 2021, police received a report of a robbery, which occurred in the area of 9th street and Patricia Ave shortly at approximately 6:45 pm.  The two suspects approached the loan pedestrian victim and brandished some type of weapon before taking some of the victim’s possessions.  Both suspects were wearing facemasks and are believed to be young adult males.  Once is described as being white, and was wearing a dark coloured top and white pants.  The second male is described as being indigenous and was wearing all black.  The victim was not injured.

Break and Enter to Business

On November 7, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business compound in the 1000 block of 20th street.  Suspects gained entry between November 6th and November 7th by forcing the door to a storage trailer.  At this time, it is unknown exactly what was stolen.

Breach of Peace

On November 7, 2021, shortly after 11:00 am, police responded to a report of a male in the 100 block of 11th street behaving in a threatening manner towards others, and witnesses were concerned as he was escalating.  Police located and arrested the 59-year-old male a short distance away.  He was found to be under the influence of illicit drugs.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On November 7, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in the area of the 900 block of Victoria Ave at approximately 7:00 pm.  Police located a 41-year-old male who was in no condition to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On November 8, 2021, shortly before 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  A 39-year-old family member was intoxicated and throwing items around, causing others in the residence to fear for their safety.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On November 7, 2021, police located and arrested a 27-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  She was later released to appear in court on December 30, 2021.
