 Stolen Vehicle

On March 1, 2022, police responded to a report of the theft of vehicle from the 1000 block of Rosser Ave.  Suspects took the vehicle between February 28, 2022 at 8:30 pm and 9:00 am on March 1.  The vehicle is described as a 2008 Grey Kia Rondo with Manitoba license KUB681.

Arrest Warrant Executed

A 35 year old man turned himself in to Brandon Police as he was aware of a warrant for his arrest from Edmonton for a historic sexual assault case.  He appeared in court and was released for court in Edmonton on April 26th, 2022.

 

DNA Warrant Executed

A 34 year old woman was located in the 1500’ block of 3rd Street and arrested on the strength of a DNA warrant from Wasagaming RCMP.  She was transported to BPS where the DNA sample was collected and she was released.

 

Break & Enter to a Business

Police were called to a business in the 300’ block of Park Ave East as sometime over the weekend a window was smashed.  It is believed entry was made to an office area where a small amount of change was stolen.

 

Domestic Assault

At approximately 9:30am, police arrested a 31 year old man for domestic assault at a residence on 1st Street.  He was held in custody to appear in court on March 8, 2022.  The victim did not require medical attention.

 

Theft Under $5000

At approximately 3:30pm, police attended to a disturbance at an apartment block in the 1300’ block of Rosser Ave.  A 39 year old man had stolen another tenant’s prescription medication.  He was arrested at the scene and released for court on April 19, 2022.

 

Theft Under $5000

At approximately 4:42pm, police were called to a business in the 800’ block of Pacific Ave.  A 31 year old male suspect got behind the front counter and attempted to steal beer.  He was unsuccessful in his attempt and fled the scene.  He was located by police nearby and arrested for the attempted theft.  He was also charged with the theft of a case of beer from a delivery truck on March 2nd, 2022.  He was released for court on May 2nd, 2022.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 4:40pm, police were called to the 800’ block of Rosser Ave as a 24 year old female was passed out in the vestibule to a business.  She was lodged to be released once sober.

 

Arrest warrant executed

At approximately 9:45pm, police located a 42 year old man in the 2200’ block of Rosser Ave who was wanted for failing to comply with a release order.  He was arrested on the strength of the warrant and given a court date of May 2nd, 2022, to deal with the charge.

 

Trafficking Meth, Possession of a Weapon

At approximately 10:46pm, police observed a 31 year old man in the 700’ block of Lorne Ave with what appeared to be the stock of a gun sticking out of his jacket.  Investigation revealed it was actually a large knife in his possession.  He was also found to be in possession of several small baggies of meth and cash consistent with trafficking.  He was also in breach of probation conditions by being out past his curfew and possessing weapons.  He was lodged to appear in court in the morning.

 

Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

At approximately 10:56pm, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 900’ block of Victoria Ave.  A 35 year old female was arrested on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend for ident.  A search incidental to her arrested revealed she was in possession of a can of bear spray and a knife.  In addition, she was found to be in possession of a stolen credit card and cheques.  She was later released for court on April 28th, 2022.
