Resist Arrest

On June 7, 2021, shortly before 7:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male in a residence contrary to his release order, which prevented him from being there.  He was also the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for take motor vehicle without owner’s consent. 

As police were placing him into custody, the 34-year-old male resisted arrest and fled on foot.  He was apprehended a short distance away. 

The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Resist Arrest, Obstruct PO Fail to Comply with Release Order and Take Motor Vehicle without Consent.

 

Break and Enter to Residence

On June 7, 2021, shortly after 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential garage in the 300 block of 16th street.  The suspect was believed to have entered the unlocked door earlier in the evening.  Stolen were two black Trek mountain bikes, two Milwaukee drills, and an older set of golf clubs in a grey bag.

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

On June 8, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence shortly after 5:00 am.  Investigation revealed that the suspect punched and choked the victim during an argument.  The suspect also damaged a TV in the residence.  The 24-year-old male was to abide by court orders not to have any contact with the victim.

He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault by Choking, Mischief to Property and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  The victim was treated for injuries at the hospital.
