Aggravated Assault
On November 6, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, police responded to a report of a serious assault which occurred in an apartment in the 000 block of 10th street. The 39-year-old male victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital via ambulance.
The 39-year-old male suspect was arrested near the scene. He was also wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order, Fail to Attend Court and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today with an additional charge of Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.
Fail to Comply with Undertaking
On November 5, 2023, at approximately 11:30 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. One of the individuals involved was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the other and fled prior to police arrival. The 37-year-old male attended to Brandon Police Service on November 6, 2023, to turn himself in. He was released following his arrest to appear in court on January 11, 2024, on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
Breach of the Peace
On November 7, 2023, shortly before 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 3100 block of Victoria Ave. To prevent his actions from continuing or escalating, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
