Intoxicated Person Detention Act

At 0800 hrs, police were called to a business in the 700 block of Highland Ave for a report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. The individual was found to be grossly intoxicated, had no one to turn them over to, and was therefore lodged in cells until sober.

Assault

At 1000 hrs, police attended to a business in the 300 block of 18th street in response to a male that followed a female inside and refused to leave after causing a disturbance inside. The male subject left the building prior to police arrival however, when speaking with the female, she disclosed that the male had assaulted her during an argument. Police were able to locate the 37 year old male later on in the day where he was arrested and lodged to appear before the courts on the charge of assault.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 1100 hrs, staff at a business in the 2900 block Victoria ave called to report that there were two individuals camping behind their business. Police attended and located a 30 year old female and a 39 year old male who were both found to be evading outstanding warrants. Both were released from police custody on Appearance notices.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 2230 Killarney RCMP called to advise that they had arrested a 49 year old female that was evading an arrest warrant that BPS had issued for her. She was released from custody on an appearance notice with a court date of September 13, 2021.

Breach of the Peace

At 0100 hrs, police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Sycamore drive where a male was highly intoxicated and being restrained by other residents. Police arrived on scene to find the 21 year old male acting erratically and out of control. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
