Break and Enter to Residence

On September 5, 2023, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 200 block of Douglas Street.  Suspects entered the home by breaking in through a window between September 2 and September 5.  Nothing is believed to have been taken.

Break and Enter to Business Shed

On September 5, 2023, police received a report of a break and enter to a shed at a business in the 400 block of Rosser Ave.  Suspects broke in over the weekend and several bicycles were stolen.

Assault

On September 5, 2023, shortly before 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault which occurred at a residence.  The investigation revealed that the 26-year-old male suspect struck an adult female victim and then smashed the front windshield of her vehicle.  He was located in the area of the residence hiding from police.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober to appear in court on November 16, 2023, on charges of Assault and Mischief Under $5000.

 

IPDA

On September 5, 2023, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the 400 block of Princess Ave.  He was only wearing a tank top.  Police located the 35-year-old male who was in no condition to care for himself and had nowhere to go.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On September 5, 2023, shortly before 11:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Lorne Ave.  A 33-year-old female passenger was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court in November 2023.

The driver of the vehicle, a 61-year-old male, was also found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on September 18, 2023.

 

Breach of the Peace

On September 5, 2023, shortly before 8:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  An intoxicated male was yelling in the store.  The 49-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from escalating.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 2, 2023, police received information that an 18-year-old male had been breaching his curfew over a period of several days.  On September 5, 2023, police located and arrested the male.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
