Break Enter and Theft

At 11:00 AM Sunday, police received a report of a break and enter to an office in the 100 block of 8th St. The suspect(s) entered the building through a window, and once inside stole a computer from one of the offices.  The matter is still under investigation.

 

Winnipeg Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 8:45 AM Sunday, officers were called to the 100 block of 24th St as a suspicious male appeared to be checking car doors.  A male matching the physical description was located in the area and a check revealed he was wanted by the Winnipeg Police Service for breach of Probation and failing to attend court. The 41-year-old male of Pelican Rapids was arrested on the strength of the warrant.  He and later released with a court date of October 6 in Winnipeg.   

 

Theft Under $5000

At approx. 12:30 Sunday afternoon, police observed a female walking in the 1000 block of Lorne Ave.  The female matched the description of a suspect that had just stolen from a store in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The female was stopped and found to be in possession of some of the property that had just been stolen.  The 39-year-old female was arrested for theft as for failing to comply with an undertaking, as she is currently on an order not to attend to that store.  The suspect was released with a court date of October 19.   

 

BPS Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 11:30 AM Sunday, an officer observed a male walking in the 400 block of 9th St.  The officer was aware the Police Service held a warrant for his arrest for failing to attend for photographs and fingerprinting.  The 28-year-old Brandon male was arrested at the scene and later released with a court date of September 28.

 

Robbery

At approx. 1:40 AM today, a female reported she had just been robbed by 3 females in the 1100 block of Princess.  The 3 suspects approached the victim and began a conversation, then forcibly stole her bag which she had been carrying over her shoulder.  Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspects in the 1000 block of Pacific Ave.  At the time of arrest, they were found in possession of several knives which they were carrying within the stolen bag.  The three accused (all of Brandon) aged 26, 26 and 27 were all charged with robbery, possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon.  They were all held overnight and will appear in court later today.

   

Other Arrests:

  • 1 person was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and held until sober.
  • 2 people were arrested for Breach of the Peace, and held at the Brandon Police Service until sober.
