Break and Enter – Suspect Arrested

On November 5, 2023, shortly after 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 300 block of 14th street.  Police responded and learned that several individuals known to the homeowner forced their way into the home, assaulted the resident and stole a cellphone, laptop, and backpack before fleeing.  The victim did not require any medical treatment. 

Police later located and arrested one of the suspects, a 31-year-old female.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Break and enter and Commit and Uttering Threats.

 

Assault Peace Officer

On November 6, 2023, shortly after midnight, police received a report of an assault on a Brandon Correctional Centre Officer.  Investigation revealed that a 30-year-old female inmate spit in the face of an officer.  The officer sought medical attention following the assault.  The female was arrested in BCC.  She remains in custody there and will appear in court today on a charge of Assault Peace Officer.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of an individual breaking windows at a business in the 1400 block of 1st street.  Police attended to the area and located and arrested a 25-year-old male who matched the description.

Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of ammunition contrary to a court order not to possess any ammo.  The suspect was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.  The mischief to the window is still under investigation.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On November 6, 2023, shortly after 4:00 pm, police recovered a grey 2013 Ford F150 which had been stolen out of Souris on October 4, 2023.  It was parked unoccupied in the 500 block of Princess Ave.

Break and Enter to Residential Garage

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 4:30 pm, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a garage in the 400 block of 16th street.  Suspects entered through the door and ransacked the inside before stealing old video games and empty beer bottles.

IPDA

On November 5, 2023, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the area of Royal Bay at approximately 6:30 am.  Police located the 32-year-old female who was knocking on doors and had nowhere to go as she was from a rural address.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On November 6, 2023, at approximately 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an unwanted female outside of a home in the 200 block of 15th street wanting to be let inside, but the residents didn’t want her there.  The 21-year-old female was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief to Property and Fail to comply with Undertaking.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 28, 2023.
