Carry Concealed Weapon

On July 3, 2022, police stopped an intoxicated pedestrian in the 800 block of Pacific Ave shortly before 2:00 pm.  The 37-year-old male was under the influence of meth and placed under arrest.  Upon his arrest, police found he was in possession of a hammer and a pool ball in a sock, which were concealed in the waistband of his pants. 

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober and will be released to appear in court on August 29, 2022 on charges of Possession of a Weapon, and Carry Concealed Weapon.

 

Impaired Driving

On July 3, 2022 at approximately 10:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated driver on a motorcycle who had just left a licensed business after having consumed alcohol. 

Police located and arrested the 56-year-old male driver at his residence.  He provided samples of his breath, which were over the legal limit.  He was later released to appear in court on August 29, 2022 on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired, and Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.

 

Theft Under $5000

On July 4, 2022 shortly after 5:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who was banging on a door in the 1200 block of 10th street.  Police recognized the male as the suspect in a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave on July 3 at 10:30 pm, as his image was captured on security footage there. 

The 31-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober.  He will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Theft Under $5000.
