Highlights For the past 24 hours:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking 

At 5:28 am, Police did a traffic stop east of Brandon on Highway #1. As a result of the stop, a 30 year old male and a 31 year old female were arrested and found to be in possession of 3 ounces of cocaine and a small quantity of meth as well as $10,000 in cash. Both subjects were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Both accused were released for court at a later date.

At 2:38 pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 900 block of 18th St N. The 40 year old female occupant of the vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with an undertaking. Further investigation revealed she was in possession of 14 grams of Meth, various pills, and cash and she was also breaching conditions of her undertaking. She was charged with numerous offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of undertaking. She was held in custody for court. The 39 year old male occupant of the vehicle was found to be possession of a small quantity of meth and also had a stolen credit card in his possession. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a stolen credit card and was released for court at a later date.

Assault

At 3:25 pm, Police attended to a disturbance on Willowdale Cres and learned a 31 year old male had assaulted a female inside the residence. The male was intoxicated and was arrested for assault and lodged until sober to be released for court at a later date.

Assault/Possess Property Obtained by Crime

At 6:18 pm, a call was received indicating a male was refusing to leave a business in the

200 block of 8th St and had also assaulted a staff member. The 36 year old male was arrested for assault and was later found to be in possession of a stolen cell phone. The accused was later released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
