Stolen Vehicle.
On August 3rd, 2023 at 9:30am a Brandon resident reported that his 2014 Kia Sorento MB. License # HKW971 had been stolen from the 1000blk 7th St. sometime overnight. Police continue to investigate.
Impaired Driving and Resist Arrest.
On Aug 3rd, 2023 at 2:28pm Police attended to the 000blk 10th St. on a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle. Upon arrival Police located an intoxicated 39 yr. old male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. When Police attempted to remove the male from the vehicle he resisted arrest. The male was taken into custody and brought to the Brandon Police Service where he refused to provide a breath sample and again fought with Police. The accused was kept in custody and will appear in court this morning on charges of Operation While Impaired, Fail to Provide a Sample, Drive Prohibited and Resist Arrest.
Breach of Undertaking and Public Mischief.
On August 3rd, 2023 at 11:40pm Police conducted a Traffic Stop in the 600blk. College Ave. The passenger in the vehicle initially provided a false name to Police. A brief investigation revealed the passengers true identity and the fact that he was currently bound by an Undertaking which he was breaching. The 33 yr. old Brandon man was arrested and released with a court date of September 28th, 2023 on the charges of Breach of Undertaking and Public Mischief.
Arrest Warrants.
On August 3rd, 2023 at 2:15pm Police located a 16 yr. old female youth in the 1000blk. Louise Ave. who was wanted on an Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest for the charges of Assault with intent of Robbery and Breach of Release Order. The female was taken into custody and will appear in court this morning.
On August 3rd at 5pm a 15yr. old female youth turned herself in at Brandon Police Service in regards to an Active unendorsed Arrest Warrant for the charge of Fail to Comply with Probation. The youth was released to appear in court September 12th, 2023.
On August 4th, 2023 at 3:45am Police conducted a Traffic Stop in the 500blk. Of 22nd St. A 25 yr. old female passenger in the vehicle was found to have an endorsed Warrant of Arrest for the charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Attend Court. The female was arrested and released to appear in court on October 25th, 2023.
