Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On August 2, 2021, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft from a residential garage in the 4500 block of Riverheights Drive.  Suspects may have gained access to the second set of keys, as they were unaccounted for at the time of the report.  The theft is believed to have occurred sometime overnight.

Arson

On August 3, 2021, shortly after 3:00 am, police responded to a report from security company personnel of a small household type decoration on fire.  The decoration was at a church in the 300 block of 4th street, and is believed to be a part of an “Every Child Matters” memorial, which was set up there in recent months.  The small fire was extinguished by security.  The incident is being investigated as an arson.  No arrests have been made.  There was no damage to the church.
