Impaired Driving

On June 1, 2022 at approximately 6:20 pm, police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at 10th street and Park Ave.  There were no injuries. Investigation revealed that one of the drivers was intoxicated. 

The 18-year-old male driver was arrested.  He provided two samples of this breath that were more than twice the legal limit. 

He was later released to sober family members and will appear in court on June 6, 2022 on charged of Driving While Ability Impaired and Driving with More Than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood.

 

Possess Weapon Dangerous

On June 1, 2022, at approximately 11:30 pm, police came across a male near the 800 block of Pacific Ave.  The male was in possession of a baseball bat and became confrontational with police.  When police attempted to arrest him, he resisted and fled.  He was located and arrested nearby.  The 22-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and later released to appear in court on July 28, 2022 on a charge of Possess Weapon Dangerous and Resist Arrest.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On June 2, 2022 at approximately 6:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male, wearing no shoes was harassing employees who were attempting to go to work at a business in the 1500 block of 18th street.  Police located and arrested the male 23-yeaer-old male who was to abide by a curfew and he was to abstain from consuming alcohol.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order

 

Arrest Warrants

On June 1, 2022, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Louise Ave shortly before 11:00 am.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to be the subject of a Family Maintenance Act Warrant.  The 42-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On June 1, 2022 shortly after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of a fight at a residence.  The dispute had resolved itself, but one of the individuals present at the residence was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for Drive While Ability Impaired.  He was later released to appear in court on July 7, 2022.
