Fraud - Use of Credit Card

On May 31, 2021, police responded to a report of the theft of a wallet and cell phone from a vehicle in the 800 block of Princess Ave.  A suspect later used a credit card in the wallet to make a purchase at a Brandon business and her image was captured on security footage.  Police were able to identify the suspect from the images, and located her the following day.  The 35-year-old female was arrested and later released to appear in court on August 3, 2021 on a charge of Use of Credit Card. 

 

Assault

On June 1, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence shortly after 10:00 am.  Investigation revealed that a 22-year-old male threw the victim to the ground causing minor injury.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on July 8, 2021 on a charge of Assault.

 

Arrest Warrants

On June 1, 2021, police located and arrested a 36-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft Under and Use of Credit Card.  He was later released to appear in court on July 22, 2021.

On June 1, 2021, a 33-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service to check if she was wanted.  As there was an outstanding arrest warrant in effect, she was arrested and later released to appear in court on July 20, 2021 on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Fail to Attend Court. 

 

Breach of Peace

On June 1, 2021 at approximately 7:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  An intoxicated 42-year-old male in the residence was yelling, screaming and causing damage to the home.  Others in the home were unable to prevent his behavior from escalating. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On June 1, 2021 shortly after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female at a residence.  Family were unable to keep her safe or prevent her behavior from escalating.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On June 1, 2021 at approximately 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female passed out in the 000 block of 10th street.  The 24-year-old female had no one to care for her and nowhere to stay.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On June 1, 2021 at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male passed out near 3rd street and Lorne Ave.  The 30-year-old male had no one to care for him and nowhere to stay.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
