Suspect Charged after using a Firearm during a Break and Enter
At 9:44pm last night Police received a call stating that a male suspect had just broken into the front porch of a residence in the 200blk of Frederick St. When the homeowner responded to the noise and opened the main door, the suspect pointed a firearm at the resident. The resident quickly closed the front door and the suspect fled on foot. Police responded and with assistance of the Police K9, the suspect was located. A 34year old, Brandon man, charged with numerous offences including Break and Enter with intent and Use a firearm during the commission of an offence, remains in custody and will appear in Court today. Police recovered an imitation firearm during the investigation.
Male lodged Breach of Peace after altercation in a parking lot
A 33 year old man from Saskatchewan was lodged for Breach of Peace after Police received a call of an altercation after an incident of road rage. Police responded to a parking lot of a business located in the 1000 block of 18th St. and found the male, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, to be highly intoxicated and belligerent. He was lodged to prevent any further incidents.
Impaired Driving
At 1:36am, police received a call of a possible impaired driver. Police were able to locate the vehicle in the 300 block of Franklin Avenue with the operator seen exiting the drivers seat. The 21 year old male from Brandon was uncooperative and refused to provide a breath sample. She was charged accordingly and was later released with a court date of September 26th.
Brandon man arrested for multiple offences
Around 2:16am, police responded to the 300 block 11th St, after receiving a call of a suspicious male in the area, holding a knife. The suspect was located and found to be in possession of a knife as well as in breach of numerous conditions of his Court Order. The 46 year old Brandon man also had an Unendorsed Warrant for his arrest for 18 charges which included B&E, possess controlled substances and failing to comply with Release Order. He was lodged and is scheduled to appear in Court today.
