Theft Under $5000
On May 29th at 6:38PM Brandon Police Service (BPS) members were called to a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue where a known to staff male had stolen $40 worth of merchandise. Security and witnesses reported him leaving the store and heading northwest. Police members located the 36-year-old male. He was arrested, held in detention cells to prevent repeat offence and will attend court in the morning on May 30th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On May 30th at 7:55PM Winkler Police Service requested BPS members attend a residence in the 300 block of 11th Street to locate a 34-year-old female and arrest her on the strength of her Warrant. BPS Members attended and located the female. She was arrested, processed at BPS and released with a court date of July 8th, 2025, in Morden, MB.
IPDA / Breach of Peace
In the last 24 hours there were three IPDA and two Breach of the Peace. The individuals were arrested, held in detention cells and will be released once sober.
Breach of Release Order
On May 29th at 8:38PM, while on an unrelated call, police identified a 26-year-old male who was breaching his Release Order by attending the city of Brandon. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on May 30th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000 / Breach of Release Order
On May 29th at 8:49PM reports came in of an intoxicated female stumbling dangerously in the middle of the road and yelling aggressively at vehicles as they drove by. Police members attended near 10th Street and Lorne Avenue and found the 26-year-old female. She was found to be breaching a Curfew Release Order and was also the suspect in a previous theft. She was arrested, processed and held in detention cells to be later released in care via Undertaking with a court date of August 21st, 2025.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On May 30th at 1:09AM a vehicle stop was conducted in the 2500 block of Brandon Avenue. The driver failed the roadside testing. The 55-year-old male had his license immediately suspended (90 days) and the vehicle was seized (30 days). The vehicle was towed.
Breach of Release Order X2 / Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
On May 30th at 1:18AM members were called to the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue for a fight that was taking place between multiple people. Upon police arrival the dispute had ceased however one 19-year-old male on scene was breaching Release Order Curfew conditions and was found to be in possession of a 4-inch fixed blade knife in his backpack, which was also against Release Order conditions. He was arrested, transported to BPS and held in detention cells for court in the morning on May 30th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On May 29th at 1:54PM a call was received of a theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Police located the suspect in the 400 block of 10th Street with the stolen $40 item in his possession. The 36-year-old male was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 7th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000 / Breach of Conditional Sentence
On May 29th at 1:16PM a report of a theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue came in. BPS members reviewed security footage and quickly located the 23-year-old male in the area who had stolen approximately $200 worth of merchandise. The male was on conditions not to attend the store. He was arrested and later released by way of Undertaking with conditions and a court date of July 24th, 2025.
