In the last 24 hours three Arrest Warrants took place. All three incidents had the individual arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On May 21st at 7:24PM a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Richmond Avenue took place due to the vehicle speeding at 81km/hour in a 50km/hour zone. Search on plates revealed it was not currently registered. The 27-year-old female driver failed two alcohol screening device tests. The driver was charged, and the vehicle was seized and towed.
Arrest Warrant / New Charges
A suspect was identified from two thefts at a business in the 800 block of 1st Street via video surveillance. Police members attended the home of the 28-year-old male for a curfew check and arrest, however the male was breaching Release Order conditions and was not home.
The male was located at a traffic stop in the 100 block of College Avenue later in the evening. The male was wanted on multiple Arrest Warrants and provided an address that did not align with his Release Order. The male was arrested and held for court in the morning on May 22nd, 2025.
Charges: Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest X3, Theft Under $5000 X2, Breach of Release Order X3.
Breach of Peace
On May 22nd at 2:53AM Police were called to a disturbance in the 400 block of 12th Street. A 25-year-old male was allegedly chasing another tenant with a shovel. No charges and no injuries sustained. The male was removed to prevent continuation of behavior, held in detention cells and will be released in the morning.
