Failure to Comply Release Order
On June 8th at 6:40AM a persons check was conducted in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue with a 16-year-old female. She was found to be breaching her 9pm – 7am curfew. She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 19th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On June 8th at 11:17AM a persons check was conducted in the 000 hundred block of 7th Street with a 40-year-old male. It was revealed he had an Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on June 9th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
Between the dates of March 14th and June 8th a 57-year-old female attended a business in the 2600 block of Victoria Avenue on 16 separate occasions and only paid for a portion of the items she had selected. (Video surveillance shows the woman placing items into her bag without scanning them.) The approximate value of theft totals $900.00. Brandon Police members attended her residence where she was charged with Theft Under $5000. She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 18th, 2025.
Suspicious Fire
On June 8th at 7:15PM Police attended to a report of a shed and truck on fire in the 1500 block of Rideau Street. Noone was around. The shed was engulfed and the truck had smoke coming from the front windshield with flames underneath the truck. Brandon Fire & Emergency Services attended and extinguished both fires. Video surveillance from the area is being reviewed. The situation remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident, please contact Brandon Police at 204-729-2345.
Breach of the Peace
In the last 24 hours there were two incidents where an individual was arrested and held in detention cells. They will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant / New Charges
On June 9th at approximately 1:30AM Police noted a 26-year-old male returning to his residence on Queens Crescent. Not long prior he had fled on foot from a Police Officer initiated Taxi stop in the neighborhood. The male was found to be breaching Release Order conditions (Curfew / Not to Possess Weapons – bear spray was found in his backpack). A new charge of Obstruct Police Officer was given. It was also confirmed the male had an Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Release Order X2). The male was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on June 9th, 2025.
