Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

 

On April 24, 2023, at approximately 12:48 pm, police responded to reports of a male with a handgun in the area of the 200 block of 9th Street. Upon attending to the area, police observed the described male suspect running away from the Skate Park. He was pursued by foot and taken into custody a short distance away. Once in custody, he was found to be in possession of a pellet pistol and a knife. As a result, the 18-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x2, Carry a Concealed Weapon x2, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2, and Resist Arrest.  

Theft Under $5000

On April 24, 2023, police received a report of theft from a business in the 700 block of 18th Street which was captured on security footage.  The 31-year-old female suspect was identified. Police located her in the area and placed her under arrest.  She was also found to be the suspect of previous theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. As a result, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 x2 and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Assault

On April 24, 2023, at approximately 6:38 pm police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of 18th Street North.  Investigation revealed that a male was observed attempting to force a female into a vehicle. Security footage obtained from a nearby business revealed the 31-year-old male suspect had also pushed the female causing her fall to the ground. Additionally, he was on a condition not to have any contact with her. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court this morning on charges of Assault (Domestic), Fail to Comply Undertaking, and Obstruction of Justice.

Arrest Warrants

On April 24, 2023, Minnedosa RCMP located and arrested a 38-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges Mischief and Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged to attend court today.

On April 24, 2023, police located and arrested a 24-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply Release Order.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On April 24, 2023, police attended the area of the 1500 block of 26th Street for report of a disturbance. A 26-year-old male was located. He was found to be wanted on outstanding Winnipeg Police Service charges of Public Mischief and Uttering Threats. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

Breach of Peace

On April 25, 2023, police responded to reports of a suspicious male in the 1400 block of 8th Street. A 32-year-old male was located on the porch of a residence. To prevent further issues, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.

On April 25, 2023, police responded to reports of a disturbance in the 400 block of 11th Street. A 20-year-old male suspect was found to be intoxicated and experiencing hallucinations. To prevent further issues he was lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober.
