Breach of Peace/ Intoxicated person
During the evening of May 17th, Police attended several calls for disturbances.
At 8:00PM, police attended a downtown residence for an alleged assault with a weapon. Two males were found to have been fighting, when one hit the other in the head with an object. Although neither party had a complaint, a 22y/o man was treated at the hospital for his injuries, and a second 22y/o man was arrested and lodged overnight to prevent the continuance of the offence.
At 10:00PM, police attend a downtown bar for a disturbance between a 41y/o and a 37y/o man. Both were found to be highly intoxicated and both were lodged until sober.
At 3:00AM, police were called to west end residence for a possible stabbing. Police arrived and found a house full of intoxicated people. All were uncooperative with police, including the alleged victim. A 35y/o man was conveyed to the hospital by EMS with minor injuries consistent with being struck with a blunt object. He refused to cooperate with police.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition(s)
During the evening, police conducted several impaired driving investigations.
At 2:00AM a 44y/o woman was found operating a vehicle in the 200 block of Brandon Avenue displaying signs consistent with impairment. After failing a roadside screening test, her license was suspended and her vehicle was seized.
At 2:30AM a 39y/o man was found operating a vehicle in the 500 block of 26th Street displaying signs consistent with impairment. After failing a roadside screening test, his license was suspended and his vehicle was seized.
At 2:45AM a 19y/o woman was found operating a vehicle in the 400 block of Rosser Avenue displaying signs consistent with impairment. After failing a roadside screening test, her license was suspended and her vehicle was seized.
