Candidate Offence Disclosure

                                     Candidate Disclosure of Offences

As required by subsection 42(1) of The Municipal Councils and School Boards Elections Act, all candidates’ nomination papers must disclose any offences that they have pleaded guilty to, or been found guilty of, under:

• The Criminal Code (Canada)
• The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (Canada)
• The Income Tax Act (Canada)
• The Income Tax Act (Manitoba)

Candidates do not have to declare any offences under The Youth Criminal Justice Act (Canada), The Young Offenders Act (Canada), or an offence for which they were granted a pardon.

These disclosures must be published on the election authority’s website.
