The Eastview Landfill site has a location to properly dispose of asbestos. There must be a permit taken out by calling the Sanitation Department at 204-729-2281 or filling out the form below.
As a contractor a permit is to be taken out at least 48 hours prior to the disposal of asbestos. This permit is valid for 1 day (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and if not used on the day requested charges may occur. No refunds for unused permits will be given. All asbestos will be hauled in enclosed vehicles, if hauling in an open trailer then enclosed with a tarp. When the waste is being disposed of, ensure it is in a way that the bags or containers are not broken. All personnel disposing of asbestos must wear proper safety equipment.
