Q: What are the Hours of Operation for the Eastview Landfill?

Q: Where can I drop off any residential household hazardous waste/paint cans?

Residential HHW and paint cans (full or empty) can be disposed of at the Eastview Landfill. Please notify the Scale Operator of any HHW that you may have, and note that the containers must be sealed and may not be leaking. Please keep in mind that any HHW containers you have for disposal will have to be left at the site.

 

Q: What are the hours of Operation for the Household Hazardous Waste Facility?

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed Sundays to Wednesdays and statutory holidays.

 

Q: Where can I dispose of old fridges, freezers, water coolers, or AC units that still contain Freon?

All Freon devices can be disposed of at Eastview Landfill during normal hours of operation. Please notify the Scale Operator of any devices you may have, also, do not leave any food in fridges/freezers. Please note fees vary on origin of device (commercial, residential, or out of town).

 

Q: As a resident of Brandon, are there any fees associated with dropping material off at the Eastview Landfill?

For residents of Brandon, loads up to 250kg are $5 and 250-500kg are $20. Over 501kg fees vary by weight.

Residents with over 1,010kg will be charged the commercial rate according to the specific refuse type being disposed of.

Q: Where can I dispose of electronic waste/E-waste?

E-waste can be disposed of at the Eastview Landfill during normal hours of operation. Items include but are not limited to: monitors, computer towers, phones, cell phones, TVs, stereos, etc.

 

Q: I have used/leftover oil and antifreeze from doing my own oil changes. Where can I dispose of it?

Any leftover or used oil and antifreeze can be brought out to the Eco Center at the Eastview Landfill for proper disposal. Please speak to the Scale Operator prior to dropping off any material. 

 

Q. Where can I dispose of asbestos or contaminated soil? What are the fees associated with the disposal of those items?

Asbestos and contaminated soil can be brought out to the Eastview Landfill for disposal. Prior to disposal of asbestos or contaminated soil refer to the permit section of the Fee Schedule and necessary disposal requirements.
