WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR SCHOOL TRUSTEE?
I am running for School Trustee because I firmly believe that the education of our children should always come first. As a parent, I understand the importance of working collaboratively with parents, students, and teachers to ensure that our students receive the best education possible.
In today's highly competitive environment, it's crucial to equip our children with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, and I am committed to making that happen.
My wife Kelsey, and I are proud parents of two wonderful children. Gauge is in grade 5, Beau is in grade 3, and both are enrolled in the Brandon School Division. They have been fortunate to have access to resources that have helped them overcome challenges many students face, especially in their early years.
I believe that with the advancements in technology and the wealth of information available to today's students, it is our duty to provide them with a superior education, readying them for the real world with both knowledge and understanding.
Having served as a director on multiple boards, and as a former instructor in the Brandon School Division, I have both respect for and a deep understanding of governance and education.
With over 20 years of experience as a barber, I have listened to the frustrations of parents, students, and teachers, giving me valuable insight into the strengths and weaknesses of our education system.
As a real estate agent, not only is my schedule flexible enough to adapt to the responsibilities of being a trustee, but I have also honed my negotiation skills which will serve me well in advocating for the best interests of our students and their families.
I am dedicated to standing by students, parents, and teachers to address the challenges and shortcomings within our education system.
