Councillor Len Isleifson

Growing up in Brandon since 1962, Len has been a resident of the Riverview Ward for the past 23 years. Married to Chris, they have two adult children, Andrew and Natasha who graduated from Crocus Plains and Vincent Massey respectively.

Len has numerous years of leadership experience on various boards in both capacities as a member and an executive:

  • Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association - 1st Vice President
  • Bowling Federation of Canada – Member of the Board of Directors
  • Manitoba 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association – Past President
  • Manitoba Five Pin Bowling Federation – Past President
  • United Way of Brandon & District – Past Board Chair
  • United Way of Brandon & District – Past Campaign Chair

 

Currently, Len is a level II coach in hockey with experience in both Brandon, Manitoba and Yorkton, Saskatchewan, as well as a certified level II coach in 5 Pin Bowling with certification as a level I technical instructor.

It is an exciting time for all Brandon residents as we look towards the next four years with a Mayor and council who are putting the community first and foremost in all areas of municipal growth and responsibility. With a certificate in Health Care Management from the Canadian Healthcare Association, Len plans on using his education and leadership skills to help move Brandon forward.

Councillor Isleifson is involved in the following committees, boards, and community organizations:

  • Taxi Appeal Committee (Alternate)
  • Building Standards Committee (Alternate)
  • Joint Task Force - City of Brandon & Brandon School Division

  • Assiniboine Hills Conservation District
