Arson
A 29 year old man and a 47 year old woman, both from Brandon were arrested on Saturday on charges of Commit Arson with Disregard for Human Life. The charges follow an incident on Friday afternoon where BFES and BPS attended to a residence in the 700 block of Rosser Ave after smoke was reported coming from an apartment. A small fire was extinguished in the apartment. Surveillance video showed the two accused entering the suite and leaving immediately after as smoke filled the hallway. There were both arrested on Saturday morning and released to appear in court in August.
Trespass By Night
On Saturday morning, a resident of Meadowlark TC reported two people in their yard who appeared to be trying to break into their shed. Officers attended and located two people nearby who matched the description provided. Both were arrested and charged with Trespass by Night. There were released to appear in court in August.
Other arrests
Two people were lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and two were lodged for Breach of Peace.
