For the last 24 hours:

Residential Break & Enter:

On Saturday morning, a break and enter to a residence in the 400 block 15th Street, that had occurred sometime over the previous 48 hours, was reported.  The residence was temporarily vacated at the time of the occurrence, and whether anything was stolen currently is undetermined.  The matter remains under investigation.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

On Saturday evening, RCMP members attended to Peguis First Nation and arrested a 31 year-old male suspect for the offence of assault causing bodily harm, on the strength of an arrest warrant held by BPS.  The accused was released from custody at their point and is to appear in Brandon court on December 30th.

A 45 year-old male was arrested for theft under $5000, on the strength of a warrant, after patrolling members spotted him in the 0-00 block 9th Street on Saturday evening. The accused was released from custody and is to appear in court on December 20th.

Court Breaches:

A 23 year-old male, who was already in custody, was arrested on Saturday evening for additional offences of theft under $5000 and failing to comply with conditions of a Release Order, as a result of an ongoing investigation.  The accused had been captured on video stealing clothing from a store in the 900 block 18th Street North previously, and the stolen item was being worn by him at the time of his prior arrest. The breach charge relates to him attending another business, which he was directed to not attend to, after being previously charged with stealing from it as well.  As he was already being held in custody, these charges will be included in his next court appearance.

A 23 year-old male was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Police in the 900 block College Avenue at about 12:30 AM this morning.  It was determined that he is currently bound by an Undertaking that includes a condition he have no contact or communication with a specified female; the specified person was in the vehicle with him.  He was arrested for the breach and released from custody, to appear in court on January 10th.
