Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Domestic Assault

On Feb 15th, a woman was assaulted by her boyfriend at a residence in Brandon. After the assault was reported to police, the accused could not be found. On Sunday afternoon, the suspect was located and arrested. A 23 year old man from Brandon will appear in court in July.

Armed Robbery

A suspect has been arrested in the armed robbery that was reported to police on Friday April 17th. On Friday at approximately 4:00 P.M., Police responded to a report of a Robbery at a business in the East End of the city. The male suspect fled prior to Police arrival and a search of the area to locate the suspect met with negative results. Investigation discovered that the lone male suspect entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded cash. The employee complied with the demand and the suspect left the business. On Sunday evening, an officer on patrol located the male suspect at 10th St and Rosser Ave. The suspect, a 45 year old with no fixed address, was arrested for the offence and was held at BPS to appear in court this morning.

Fail to Comply with Court Order

At approximately 320 am on Monday morning, officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of 22nd St after a disturbance was reported. A man and a woman were involved in an argument and the man is on a court order to have no communication with the woman. A 26 year old Brandon man was arrested and released to appear in court in July.
