 Assault with Weapon

On 2021/05/15 at approximately 6:50P.M. police received a report of a male who had been shot in the face in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue.  Upon arrival it was determined that the male victim had been shot with a CO2 pellet gun in the forehead.  Medical attention was provided to the victim while members searched the area for the suspect. A short time later police located a suspect in the area of the shooting.  He was taken into custody.  A 20 year old male from Brandon was released on an Undertaking to attend court on 2021/08/16 for charges of Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Warrant Executed

On 2021/05/15 at approximately 7:00 P.M. police were patrolling in the area of the 300 block of 9th Street when they came across a male subject.  A CPIC check was conducted and he was found to have a warrant for his arrest for Utter Forged Document and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.  The 36 year old male from Brandon was stopped and placed under arrest.  He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend court on 2021/08/12.

Warrant Executed  

On 2021/05/15 at approximately 8:30 P.M.  a report was received of a possible domestic violence situation in the 2200 block of Rosser Avenue.  Upon police arrival a 21 year old female from Brandon was the only person located in the area.  A CPIC searched revealed she has warrant for her arrest for Manslaughter and Criminal Negligence causing Death.  She was taken into custody and lodged in the Brandon Police Service Cells.  She will appear in Court in the A.M.

Possession of a Weapon

On 2021/05/16 at approximately 12:15 A.M. police were patrolling the 300 block of 6th Street when they observed a male subject throw a canister of Bear Spray over a fence into the New Era school yard.  A 28 year old male from Brandon was taken into custody and lodged in BPS Cells.  He will appear in court in the A.M. for charges of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession off a Prohibited Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order and Fail to Comply with Release order x 4.
