Graffiti Spree:

On Friday morning, it was reported that graffiti had occurred between approx. 10:00 PM Thursday night and 8:00 AM Friday, in the area of Acadia to Dogwood Boulevards, and Elviss Crescent.  The graffiti, in black spray paint, was on fences, garages, and vehicles.  These incidents remain under investigation and anyone with information on this is asked to call us or CrimeStoppers.

 

Arrest Warrants Executed:

A 22 year old male was apprehended while stealing from Canadian Tire yesterday afternoon and was found to be the subject of two warrants for arrest for three counts of failing to comply with probation and one count of theft under $5000.  He was later released form police custody and scheduled to appear in court on July 9th.

While dealing with an unrelated matter, a member located a 25 year old male wanted for possession of a stolen debit card and fraudulent use of a debit card.  He was arrested on the strength of the warrant for arrest and released from custody to appear in court on July 16th.

On Friday night, a 25 year old male was reported to be causing problems at a residence on Westaway Bay.  He was located in the area, was intoxicated by alcohol, and was found to be the subject of an unendorsed warrant for arrest for failing to comply with a probation order.  He was held in custody and will have a court hearing this morning.

Manitoba First Nations Police Service at Long Plains FN arrested a 38 year old male on the strength of a warrant for arrest held by us for failing to comply with a probation order.  He was later released from their custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Brandon on August 17th.

A 21 year old female from Winnipeg was arrested on the strength of a warrant for arrest, held by Winnipeg Police Service, for fraud over $5000.  The accused was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at approx. 2:35 AM this morning.  She was held in custody and will have a court hearing this morning.

 

Breach of Release Order:

A 25 year old male was arrested Friday afternoon for failing to comply with a condition of a Release Order.  The accused had been released from custody several days prior, and a condition of that Order was that he was to provide an address to police within 48 hours of his release, which he failed to do.  He now faces an additional count of failing to comply with a release order.  He was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20th.
