Theft Under $5000.00:

On March 18, 2022, at 3:18 pm, police were dispatched to a business located in the 900 block of 18th Street, North regarding a theft.  Information suggested the suspects had left in a vehicle after the theft. A short time later, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 1st Street and located a 30 year old male and a 39 year old female who were responsible for the theft.  The property stolen from the business was recovered within the vehicle.  The male and female were arrested and were later released by way of Appearance Notice for a future court date.

Possession of Stolen Property:

On March 18, 2022 at 5:55 pm, police arrested a 34 year old male in the 700 block of Van Horne Avenue who was found to be in possession of a stolen bike.  The male was later released from custody by way of Appearance Notice with a future court.   

Arrest Warrant:

On March 18, 2022, at 10:22 am, police attended to a residence in the 300 block of 21st Street and arrested a 22 year old male on the strength of a Warrant for Failing to Appear Court.  The male was conveyed and detained at the Brandon Police Service to appear before a Justice regarding the matter.

Theft of Vehicle:

On March 18, 2022, a business located in the 1500 block of 18th Street, North, contacted police regarding the theft of one of their rental vehicles.  The business reported that on March 1, 2022, a female rented a 2019 GMC U-Haul Moving Van, Arizona license plate AJ35005.  The female did not return the vehicle after the two hour rental agreement had expired.  The vehicle is currently listed as stolen.

Disturbance/Weapons:

On March 18, 2022, at 8:46 pm, police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of 8th Street.  A resident within the home reported that several unknown persons had entered the residence and sprayed a resident of the house with bear mace.  Police located and arrested two youths in the area, who police believed were involved.  One of the youths, a 14 year old male, was arrested and found to be in possession of a large knife.  The second youth, a 14 year old male, was breaching his Court Order Condition by being under the influence of alcohol.  The youths were conveyed and detained at the Brandon Police Service to be released by way of Appearance Notice with a future court dates.

Fire:

On March 19, 2022, at approximately 3:04 am, Police and members of Fire/Emergency Services were dispatched to a fire at a hotel located in the 0 hundred block of 10th Street. The fire was contained an extinguished.  Police and the Office of Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
