Search Warrant Executed

On Saturday afternoon, members of the Organized Crime Section assisted by the Patrol Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Willowdale Crs.  Two people were stopped in a vehicle in the 2200 block of Park Ave in relation to the investigation and arrested.  One of the men, a 21 year old Brandon resident had an arrest warrant for Fail To attend for Identification. He was later released on an appearance notice.  Two people, a man and a woman were located  in the residence that was searched. They were interviewed and released without charge.

In the residence, police recovered a large quantity of methamphetamine and two prohibited firearms.  A 27 year old man from Neepawa who was in the vehicle stopped earlier, was lodged for court on charges of Possession of a weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Possession of the Purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and several firearms offences. He will appear in court on Sunday.

Break and Enter

On Saturday afternoon the owner of business in the 3000 block of Victoria Ave reported a break and enter that occurred at 230 am. A man was observed on surveillance video entering the business and stealing a clients bag with contents.   The suspect was identified by police from the video.  At 320 am today, he was located near the same business and was arrested.  He will appear in court on Sunday.

Other Arrests

A 20 year old man from Brandon was arrested on Saturday morning at a disturbance at hotel on 18th St. He was breaching a condition of a release and was arrested. He appeared in court on Saturday afternoon.

A 38 year old Brandon man was arrested on an arrest warrant on Saturday afternoon and lodged for court on Sunday.

Two people were lodged for Breach of Peace.
