Stabbing

On April 5, 2020, police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence shortly after 11:00 pm. The victim received a non-life threatening injury for which he received treatment.

The 19-year-old female suspect was arrested without incident at the residence. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court on a charge of Assault with a weapon, later today.

 

Arrest Warrant/ Stabbing

On February 22, 2020, police attended to a report of a stabbing at a residence. The suspect fled the residence prior to police arrival. The victim received treatment for serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed the identity of the 39-year-old female suspect. Attempts to locate her were negative, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.

On April 6, 2020, shortly before 4:00 am, police received a report of individuals fighting in a residence. One of the individuals was she subject of the outstanding arrest warrant. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court later today on a charge of Aggravated Assault, and a second arrest warrant for Theft Under $5000.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On April 5, 2020, police observed a male pedestrian near 10th and Victoria Ave, who was known to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. The 33-year-old male was arrested and will appear in court on a later date for Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Residential Fire

On April 6, 2020, at approximately 2:45 am, police attended with BFES to a report of a structure fire at a residence in the 000 block of Braecrest Drive. The residents were able to exit the residence safely and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is not believed to be suspicious.
