Assault

On September 3, 2021 at approx. 9:30 am, people heard a female screaming for help in the 800 blk 6th St. Police attended the area and located a 39 year old female, who indicated she had been assaulted. Police located the 46 year old male and he was arrested. He was later released to appear in court on Nov 1, 2021 on charges of assault.

Possession of Drugs

On September 3, 2021 at approx. 2:45 pm police checked a male in the 700 blk 9th St as he was pushing two bikes. While checking the subject, police located a small bag with a substance believed to be meth. The 37 year old male from Brandon, tried to destroy the drugs. When police attempted to arrest him, he resisted and a short struggle ensued. He was eventually controlled and held in custody. He will appear this morning on charges of Obstruct PO, Resist Arrest and Possession of Drugs.

Possession of Stolen Property

On September 3, 2021, a suspect posted photos of some stolen tools he was selling. Police arranged to meet the suspect around 6:00 pm. Members looked the tools over and once confirmed they were stolen, the 21 year old male was arrested.  He was later released to appear in court on Nov 22 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Other Arrests

On September 3, 2021 at approx. 7:44 am a suspicious male was arrested around a house in the 100 blk of 11th St. He had been seen earlier that morning in the same area. The 27 year old male from Brandon was released to appear in court on Nov 25 on charges of Trespass by Night.

On September 3, 2021 at approx. 9:45 am, a staff member of a restaurant near 18th St and Park Ave reported a male and female were acting suspiciously. Members attended and located a 22 year old female, who was intoxicated, uncooperative and acting bizarre. She was arrested and held until sober. 

On September 3, 2021 at approx. 12:45 pm police checked a 33 year old female near Waverly Park School. A check showed she was on an order not be within 200 m of any school. She was arrested for failing to comply. Due to the fact, she was intoxicated as the result of drug use, she was held until sober. She was later released to appear in court on Nov 3, 2021 on charges of Fail to comply with an Undertaking.

On September 4, 2021 at approx. 1:50 am police attended a noise party in the 600 blk Princess Ave East. 39 year old male was identified as an unwanted guest. He was intoxicated. He was arrested and as he had no place to go, he was held to be released when sober.

On September 4, 2021 at approx. 2:00 am police were called to a residence on Alaska Bay. One roommate was playing loud music, and was high on drugs.  As he would not settle down and was too unpredictable to be released to a sober person he was arrested and held to be released when sober.
