Fraud Over $5000

On March 14, 2022, police received a report of that an employee of a business cashed several cheques for a second time using a mobile app.  Investigation revealed that the cheques were initially issued to the 24-year-old male and deposited as early as May 2021.  The suspect then redeposited the cheques to his bank account, which totaled more than $14,000.

On March 30, 2022, the suspect was arrested and later released.  He will appear in court on May 26, 2022 on a charge of Fraud Over $5000.

 

Sexual Assault

On February 23, 2022, police received a report of a sexual assault, which occurred on February 13, 2022 at a house party.  Investigation revealed that the 25-year-old male suspect sexually assaulted the 45-year-old male victim, while the victim was unconscious due to intoxication. 

On March 30, 2022, police arrested the suspect and later released him to appear in court on May 30, 2022 on a charge of Sexual Assault.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On March 30, 2022 at approximately 6:00 pm, police stopped an intoxicated pedestrian in the 100 block of 15th street.  Investigation revealed that the 18-year-old male was in possession of bear mace.  He will appear in court on May 26, 2022 on a charge of Possession of a Weapon.  The male was too intoxicated to care for himself and was turned over to a sober friend. 

 

Breach of Peace

On March 30, 2022, police responded to a report of an intoxicated individual causing problems at a residence at approximately 11:30 pm.  The other adults in the residence could not prevent the actions of the 21-year-old female from escalating.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On March 31, 2022, police responded to a report of an individual who was passed out due to drug use in the vestibule of a business in the 700 block of 18th street shortly after midnight.  The 28-year-old male suspect was to abide by conditions not to consume drugs.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On March 29, 2022, police responded to a report that a 41-year-old female was in breach of numerous release conditions including a curfew and a no contact condition with another individual.  The female was located and arrested on March 30, 2022.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X5.

 

Arrest Warrants

On March 30, 2022, police located and arrested a 45-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On March 31, 2022, shortly after 5:00 am, police responded to a report of a 22-year-old female causing problems in her friend’s home due to her recent meth use.  Police learned that the female was the subject of outstanding charges of Obstruct PO, Theft from Mail, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Attend Court.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
