May 31, 2022 UPDATE: 

On May 29, 2022, Sebastian LONGCLAWS, assisted by a family member turned himself in to Brandon Police Service on an outstanding arrest warrant.  He appeared in court on charges of Forcible Confinement, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Robbery. 

LONGCLAWS was the final suspect to be arrested for the Forcible Confinement/Aggravated Assault incident, which was reported to Brandon Police Service on January 28, 2022.

Three suspects arrested, One suspect wanted

On January 28, 2022 shortly after 6:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who had been assaulted resulting in serious, non-life-threatening injuries. 

An investigation by members of the Major Crime Section revealed that the 25-year-old male victim had been forcibly held against his will by four suspects.  The suspects restrained the victim at the residence in the 300 block of 11th street from Monday January 24 until they released him on Friday January 28, 2022.  During that time, they assaulted him repeatedly with a variety of weapons, including a hair flat iron, edged weapons, a bike chain, and solid wooden objects.  The victim was treated for his injuries at hospital.

An warrant of arrest is in effect for Sebastian LONGCLAWS (male age 26) for charges of Forcible Confinement, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Robbery.

The following individuals have been arrested and remanded in custody on charges of Forcible Confinement, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Robbery:
