Possession of a Weapon
On November 29, 2021, shortly after 12:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male pedestrian swinging a knife around. Nobody was threatened or harmed by the male. Police located and arrested the male in the area of 34th street and Elviss Cres. He was found to be under the influence of illicit drugs and in possession of a kitchen knife. The 35-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on February 3, 2022 on a charge of Possession of a Weapon.
Assault
On November 29, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence shortly before 6:00 pm. Investigation revealed that a 31-year-old male assaulted a victim in the home. The victim received minor injuries, which required medical treatment. The male was also to abide by conditions not to have any communication with the victim. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Assault.
Arrest Warrant
On November 29, 2021, police located and arrested a 55-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Appear in Court. He was later released to appear in court on December 21, 2021.
