Possess Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
On November 28, 2021, police observed a cyclist on a sidewalk in the 100 block of 7th street at approximately 8:30 pm. When they attempted to speak with him about his actions, he fled and tossed a bag he was carrying aside. Police discovered that the bag contained a .22cal Mossberg 715 AR-style rifle with a clip containing six rounds of ammunition. The rifle also appeared to be cut down and the serial number defaced.
Police stopped and arrested the 37-year-old male. He was also found to be in possession of over 16 oz. of Meth. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X 3, Possess Firearm Knowing it was Defaced, Possess Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized, Possess Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Resist Arrest, and Possess Controlled Substance for Trafficking - Meth.
Breach of the Peace
On November 28, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence shortly after 9:00 pm. An intoxicated 23-year-old female was found to be the issue and had worn out her welcome. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober.
Fail to Comply with Release Order
On November 29, 2021, shortly after midnight while dealing with a separate incident in a residence, police located a 49-year-old male in the company of an individual with whom he was to have no communication. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X 3.
A second male was also at the residence in spite of a no contact order of another occupant. The 58-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order and Fail to comply with Undertaking.
IPDA
On November 29, 2021 at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to reports of a male in the common area of an apartment building, in which he was not a resident. The 29-year-old male was intoxicated with nowhere to stay, and he was unable to care for himself. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On November 29, 2021, police located and arrested a 24-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fai to Attend Court. She was later released to appear in court on January 24, 2022.
On November 29, 2021, police located and arrested a 41-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and Possess Weapon Dangerous X3. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
