Bear Mace Incident

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a business in the 000 block of 9th street at noon.  Investigation revealed that a 30-year-old female sprayed another individual with bear mace and fled.  The victim was treated by BFES.  Police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away.  She was later released to appear in court on April 7, 2022, on a charge of Assault with a Weapon.

 

Assault by Choking

On January 27, 2022, at approximately 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault occurring in a residence as witnesses could see the male suspect choking the victim.  Police could hear screaming upon their arrival to the home and forced the door.  The 36-year-old male suspect was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level.  He will be released when sober to appear in court on March 3, 2022, on charges of Assault and Assault by Choking.  The victim did not require medical attention.

 

Theft of Vehicle

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft from the 1200 block of 20th street between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.  Suspects may have located a dropped key to gain access to the 2021 black Chev Silverado with Manitoba license HXH 478. The vehicle also contains the decal “King Painting and Coating” on both rear passenger doors.

Assault

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a fight in a residence shortly before midnight.  Investigation revealed that following an evening of consuming alcohol which led to an argument, the two suspects, a 38-year-old male and a 39-year-old female proceeded to assault one another.  They were both arrested and later released to appear in court on March 10, 2022, on charges of assault.  Neither required medical attention.

 

Break and Enter to Residential Garage

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential garage in the 700 block of 11th street.  Suspects entered by cutting the lock.  Stolen was a drain cleaning machine. Breach of Peace

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of 1st street.  Police located a 23-year-old male who was behaving erratically as he was under the influence of a drug.  The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On January 27, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a business in the 800 block of Pacific Ave at approximately 10:30 pm.  A 39-year-old intoxicated male was found to be the cause of the issue.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his actions from continuing.

 

Arrest Warrants

On January 27, 2022, police located and arrested a 43-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On January 27, 2022, a 28-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service as he was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  He was later released and will appear in court on April 4, 2022, on charges of Assault Cause bodily Harm and Fail to Attend Court.
