Possess Property Obtained by Crime

On October 26, 2021, police observed and stopped a female riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at 11:00 pm in the 1700 block of Pacific Ave.  Investigation led police to discover that the bike was stolen and the 41-year-old female was arrested.  Upon her arrest, police discovered a knife in her possession.  She was later released to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime, and Possess Weapon Dangerous. 

 

IPDA

On October 26, 2021, police observed a male in front of Brandon Police Service around a bicycle rack where several bikes were locked up.  He was unsuccessfully attempting to steal one before officers intervened at approximately 9:00 pm.  The 29-year-old male was found to be intoxicated and arrested.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service, as he had nowhere to go and no one to care for him.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On October 26, 2021, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 2400 block of McDonald Ave shortly before 3:00 pm.  One of the passengers was found to be on release conditions not to have communication with the other passenger.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 30, 2021.

 

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On October 26, 2021, an additional 30-year-old female was arrested for her involvement in the possession of the possession of cocaine and cash, which was seized following a CDSA Warrant, which was executed on April 17, 2020.  She was released to appear in court on November 18, 2021 on charges of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possess Proceeds of Crime.

On Friday evening (edit April 17, 2020), members of the Brandon Police Service Major Crime Section and Patrol Unit executed a search warrant under the authority of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Juniper Bay. The search of the residence recovered six ounces of cocaine and $5000.00 cash. A 33-year-old man from Brandon, 31-year-old female from Brandon and 30-year-old man from Gambler First Nation have been arrested for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. All three have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court in July. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $12,000.

 

 Arrest Warrant

On October 26, 2021, police located and arrested a 31-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.  He was later released to appear in court on November 22, 2021.
