Break, Enter and Theft

A 44 year old Brandon man was arrested on Saturday morning in the 1200 block of Rosser Ave. He was identified by surveillance video as the suspect in a break and enter to an apartment building where 2 bicycles were stolen.  This incident occurred on March 21st.  The man was lodged to appear in court.

Possession of Weapons.

On Saturday, members of the Patrol section executed a Public Safety warrant at a residence in the 200 block 11st St E.  The warrant resulted from information regarding the unlawful possession of several firearms by the resident.  Inside the home, police seized four rifles that were secured in a locked safe. A fifth firearm with ammunition was located under a bed in the residence.  The 40 year old male resident was arrested later in the day on charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 5, Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm,  Fail to Comply with a  Release Order. He appeared in court on Sunday morning and was remanded into custody.

Other arrests

Two people were lodged for Breach of Peace.

A 58 year old Brandon man was arrested on the strength of an endorsed warrant for Fail to Appear in Court. He was released to appear in June.

A 26 year old man from Long Plains was arrested at a residence in the 700 block of Braecrest Dr.  The man was intoxicate and refusing to leave the residence. When officers arrived, he was found to have several warrants for his arrest. He will appear in court on Sunday.
