Assault by Choking

At 7:02pm Saturday evening Police were called for an Assault in progress on Cornell Bay. Upon arrival Police located a 44 yr. old male who had assaulted a female by choking her. The male, from Brandon, was arrested and will be released when sober for a court date in early May.

Break and Enter. 

A concerned citizen contacted Police at 8:23pm Saturday evening reporting that a business in the 700 blk. Rosser Ave. had the front window smashed and an alarm was sounding. Police attend and retrieved video. It was unknown at the time if entry had been gained or anything stolen. At 1am Sunday morning Police received a report of a male subject in the 700 blk. Rosser breaking windows. Police attended to the area and after a short foot chase apprehended a 19 yr. old Brandon man. This male subject matched the description of the suspect from the previous B&E in the area. The male was arrested and charged with Mischief, Break and Enter X 2 and failing to Abide by a previous release order. This subject will appear for bail this morning.

Other Arrests

At 12:12pm Saturday afternoon a 14yr old male youth from Brandon was arrested for failing to comply with his release order. This accused will be appearing in court this morning.

At 1:45am Sunday morning a 25 yr. old Brandon man was causing a disturbance at a license premise in the 3100 blk. Victoria Ave. The male was issued a ticket for being Disorderly in a License Premise and released to a sober friend.

A 22 yr old Winnipeg man was arrested by Winnipeg Police Service on the strength of a Brandon Police Service Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Appear in Court. The subject will appear in court this morning in Winnipeg.
