Theft Under $5000

On March 25, 2021, police were flagged down by a witness who observed a male pushing a cart full of stolen items from a business in the Corral Centre at approximately 11:00 am. 

The male was already some distance away from the area as he travelled south along 18th street N.  Police stopped the male near 18th street N. and McGregor Ave. In the cart were a number of stolen items including power tools. 

The 23-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court on June 14, 2021 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Stolen Vehicle – Recovered

On March 26, 2021, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1500 block of 26th street shortly after midnight.  The keys to the vehicle had been stolen the day prior.

Shortly after 5:00 am, police spotted the vehicle travelling before the driver stopped the vehicle on Waterloo Cres, and ran.  He attempted to avoid police by running through residential yards.

Officers searched the area and located the suspect, a 41-year-old male, near the intersection of Park Ave, and 34th street.

The suspect was later released to appear in court on May 27, 2021 on a charge of Possess Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Assault

On March 25, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence that occurred just before midnight.  An investigation into the matter revealed that a 45-year-old male had assault the victim following a disagreement.  The suspect was arrested and released to appear in court on June 24, 2021 on a charge of assault. 

 

Arrest Warrant

On March 26, 2021, police located a 28-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 26, 2021, shortly before 2:00 am, while police were dealing with a separate matter in the 000 block of 15th street, an intoxicated 33-year-old male tried to interfere while he was openly consuming alcohol.  The male was given several chances to move along; however, he continued to involve himself.  The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released when sober once he is served a ticket for Consume in Public Place under the LGCCA.
