Possession of a Weapon

On October 25, 2021, police stopped a 37-year-old male riding a bicycle in the 1200 block of Rosser Ave shortly after 2:00 am.  The male had a machete strapped to the bike, contrary to a court order that he was not to possess any weapons.  He was also to abide by a court order not to be in possession of any bicycle without proof of purchase and he was to abide by a curfew.

He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. He will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking X3, Fail to Comply with Probation, and Possession of a Weapon.

 

Break and Enter to Residential Shed

On October 25, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 600 block of 9th street.  Suspects entered the shed overnight by cutting the lock, but nothing is believes to be stolen.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

Break and Enter to Residential Shed

On October 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 1000 block of College Ave.  Suspects entered the insecure shed overnight and stole a variety of tools and power tools.

Assault

On October 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a fight in a business in the 000 block of 9th street shortly before 8:00 pm.  Police arrested the two individuals involved.  They were both intoxicated and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  The 52-year-old male and the 21-year-old female will each be released once sober to appear in court on November 22, 2021 on a charge of Assault.

 

Breach of Peace

On October 24, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 200 block of 18th street N. shortly before 8:00 am.  The male was yelling and behaving in a threatening manner towards others.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his behavior from continuing.

 

Breach of Peace

On October 24, 2021, shortly after 8:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the 1300 block of College Ave.  The female’s unpredictable behavior was causing concern for people in the neighbourhood.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
