Assault

On November 24, 2021, shortly after 10:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault on an employee at a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave.  The 74-year-old male suspect was prohibited from entering the business.  When the employee approached him to ask him to leave, the suspect kicked the employee, who did not require medical attention.  Police arrested the suspect.  He was later released to appear in court on January 17, 2022 on a charge of assault. 

 

Theft Under/Resist Arrest

On November 16, 2021, police responded to a report of a theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The male suspect left the area before he could be arrested, but he was later identified through security footage.

On November 24, 2021, police located and arrested the 29-year-old male following a separate incident in which witnesses reported an intoxicated male yelling outside an apartment building in the 700 block of Lorne Ave shortly after 7:00 pm.  The male unsuccessfully attempted to evade arrest by resisting.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Resist Arrest.

Possession of a Weapon

On November 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a male swinging a metal pipe in the 600 block of Rosser Ave at approximately 12:30 pm.  The male was striking objects in the laneway with the pipe, and behaving in a threatening manner towards witnesses.  Police arrested the 30-year-old male who was intoxicated, contrary to a Probation order, which also prohibited him from carrying any weapons.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Refuse ASD (Approved Screening Device)

On November 25, 2021, at approximately 12:30 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of 14th street.  The 29-year-old female driver refused the ASD demand. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 6, 2021.

Break and Enter to Storage Trailer

On November 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a storage trailer, parked in a yard on Marquis Cres.  Suspects entered the trailer overnight by cutting the lock.  Stolen was an air nailer, laser level and a variety of tools.

Break and Enter to Residential Shed

On November 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 1500 block of 26th street.  Suspect entered the shed overnight by cutting the lock.  It is not known if anything was stolen.

Break and Enter to Storage trailer

On November 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business storage trailer, which was parked in the 2400 block of Dietrich Street.  Suspects entered the trailer overnight by cutting the lock.  Stolen was a variety of tools.

Arrest Warrant

On November 24, 2021, police located and arrested a 46-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released to appear in court on January 20, 2022.

 

IPDA

On November 24, 2021 at approximately 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female passed out in a washroom of a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave.  The 23-year-old female was in no condition to care for herself and had nowhere to go.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
