Theft of Vehicle – Suspect arrested following K-9 track

On November 23, 2021, shortly after 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of the theft of a vehicle, which was left running and unattended in the 1300 block of Rosser Ave.  Police located the vehicle being driven a short time later in the area of Victoria Ave E.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the driver would not stop, drove through several stop signs and made several turns to evade police. No pursuit was initiated.  The vehicle was located abandoned in the 600 block of Rideau Street prompting police K-9 to initiate a track, which lead police directly to where the suspect was hiding a short distance away. 

Police arrested the 21-year-old female suspect who was lodged at Brandon Police Service.  She will appear in court today on charges of Theft of Vehicle, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Possession of a Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On November 23, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 1700 block of Rosser Ave.  Suspects entered the business by forcing a window.  It is not believed that anything was taken, but work areas were rifled through.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

Breach of Peace

On November 23, 2021 at approximately 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing problem in a residence.  Others in the home were unable to prevent her behavior from continuing.  The 21-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On November 23, 2021, at 7:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female passed out behind a business in the 500 block of 1st street.  The 27-year-old female was unable to care for herself, and she had nowhere to go.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation Order

On November 24, 2021, at 12:30 am, police responded to a report of audible alarms sounding in the area of the 200-300 block of Lorne Ave.  Investigation into the alarms was met with negative results; however, police located an intoxicated male in the area.  The 30-year-old male was unable to care for himself and had nowhere to stay.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On November 23, 2021, police located and arrested a 45-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Possess Credit Card, Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data and Fait to Attend Court.  The male was later released and will appear in court on January 27, 2022.

On November 23, 2021, police located and arrested a 19-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On November 24, 2021, police located and arrested a 21-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was later released to appear in court on February 16, 2022.
