DOMESTIC ASSAULT

On May 23, 2021 at approx. 8:15 am, the victim, a 45 year old female, reported her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her and choked her on two different occasions. He was also on orders not to communicate with her or attend her residence. Her injuries did not require medical treatment. The suspect, a 41 year old male, was located nearby and arrested. He was held in custody and will appear on charges of Assault X2, FTC Undertaking x3, and Choke to overcome resistance.

BREAK & ENTER TO GARAGE

On May 23, 2021 at approx. 10:59 am police received a report that a garage in the 2100 blk Richmond Ave was broken into between 2021-05-21 at 2021-05-23 1055hrs. Members attended and spoke to com. Suspects entered through the side door and stole a variety of tools.

FRAUDULENT USE OF CREDIT CARD

On May 17, 2021, a wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 200 blk Rosser Ave. The suspect used a debit card from the wallet at a few businesses. Police identified the suspect as a 20 year old female and a warrant was requested for charges of Theft Under $5000 and fraud use of a Credit Card X3.  On May 24, 2021 the suspect was seen walking in the 400 blk Princess Ave. She was stopped and arrested on the above charges. She will appear in court this morning.

OTHER ARRESTS

On May 23, 2021 at 9:29 am, police stopped a vehicle in the 900 Pacific Ave. The driver was a 47 year old male. A computer check showed he was on an order prohibiting him from driving in Canada. He was arrested and later released with several CONs and an Appearance Notice for court on July 12, 2021.

On May 23, 2021 Portage RCMP arrested 45 year old female on outstanding warrants for Assault with a Weapon and Aggravated Assault. She was held in custody and appeared before a JJP. She was remanded in custody to court in Portage on May 25, 2021.
