UPDATE: Additional charges in 3-D Printer investigation

Investigators continued to investigate following the residential search warrant executed on March 8, 2022 in which police discovered a 3-D printer. 

18-year-old Dayne PARROTT-JONES was arrested on a number of charges at the time.  He now faces additional charges of Identity Fraud, Identity Theft, Fraud Under $5000, False Pretence and Use Unauthorized Credit Card. 

The investigation revealed that in the fall of 2021, the suspect used stolen ID to open a bank account with credit card.  The victim had reported their id stolen from a vehicle in Brandon during the summer of 2019.  PARROTT-JONES will appear in court today on the new charges.

Resist Arrest/Possession of a Weapon

An additional 14-year-old male has been arrested for his involvement in a disturbance call from the evening of March 18, 2022.  At the time, he resisted arrest by running from members.  Once he was apprehended, he was found to have a loaded .177 pellet handgun in his possession.

The youth was very intoxicated at the time of his apprehension, and he required medical treatment because of his intoxication level.  He was released to the care of medical personnel at the time.

The youth was arrested on March 23, 2022, and will appear in court on May 31, 2022 on charges of Resist Arrest and Possession of a Weapon

Original release from March 19, 2022: Disturbance/Weapons:

On March 18, 2022, at 8:46 pm, police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of 8th Street.  A resident within the home reported that several unknown persons had entered the residence and sprayed a resident of the house with bear mace.  Police located and arrested two youths in the area, who police believed were involved.  One of the youths, a 14-year-old male, was arrested and found to be in possession of a large knife.  The second youth, a 14-year-old male, was breaching his Court Order Condition by being under the influence of alcohol.  The youths were conveyed and detained at the Brandon Police Service to be released by way of Appearance Notice with a future court dates.

 

Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Triiodothyronine (T3s)

On March 23, 2022, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 800 block of 6th street shortly before 10:00 pm.  Investigation in to the 38-year-old female passenger revealed she was in possession of Triiodothyronine (T3s), Clonazepam, and Gabapentin.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on May 14, 2022 on a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On March 23, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a construction site in the 1600 block of Rosser.  Suspects forced their way into the building overnight and stole a variety of power tools.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On March 23, 2022, shortly before 6:00 pm, near a business in the 300 block of 18th street N., police located and arrested a 25-year-old male who was found to be breaching numerous release conditions.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X4.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On March 23, 2022, police responded to a report of an unwanted individual in a residence at approximately 8:30 pm.  The 17-year-old female was refusing to leave.  Police discovered that she was to abide by conditions not to communicate with one of the residents at the home.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on May 3, 2022 on a charge of Fail to comply with Undertaking.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 24, 2022, a 42-year-old female and her friend attended to Brandon Police Service.  The female was under the influence of Meth, and her friend was unable to care for her or keep her safe as her behavior continued to escalate.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
