Possession of a Weapon

 On September 22, 2022, just after 7:00 pm, police responded to report of two males in possession of a machete in the 300 block of 10th Street. The 34-year-old and 52-year-old male suspects were located in the area. Both were found to be intoxicated.

Investigation revealed that the 34-year-old male had been threatening several people while brandishing the machete. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Utter Threats and Possession of a Weapon.

Witnesses observed the 52-year-old male to be in possession of the machete prior to police arrival. He was also wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Ident and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on the outstanding charges and an additional charge of Possession of Weapon.

 

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On September 22, 2022, shortly after 4:00 pm, police observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen driving in the 1400 block of 7th Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and the 25-year-old male driver was arrested. The passenger fled but was located a short distance away. Both were released to appear in court on November 17, 2022, on a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Arrest Warrant

On September 22, 2022, police located and arrested a 17-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding Supervision Suspension Warrant.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today.

On September 22, 2022, at approximately 8:29 pm, Manitoba First Nations Police located a 33-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding Brandon Police Service charges. She was arrested and released to appear in court on November 3, 2022.

On September 23, 2022, at approximately 12:45 am, police located a 36-year-old female from Easterville, MB who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. She was arrested and released to attend court in Winnipeg on December 13, 2022.
